Løvenborg

Løvenborg is a manor house and estate at Holbæk, Denmark.

Løvenborg has previously been called both Ellinge and Birkholm, and it got its current name from the noble family Løvenskiold.

The main building at Løvenborg dates from 1634, when the manor was still called Birkholm.

The Løvenborg family house was established in 1766. In 1773, the family house was elevated to a barony.

Frederiksborg Castle was probably the source of inspiration for the main building, which together with the farm buildings still form an architectural whole.
